About The Position
Paladin Security is looking for professional, customer-focused, and dependable individuals to join our team as High Profile Security Guards in Downtown Toronto. In this role, you'll provide a visible security presence within a busy retail and commercial environment while delivering exceptional customer service. You'll help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming atmosphere for tenants, visitors, and staff by proactively monitoring the property, responding to incidents, and enforcing safety procedures. Requirements
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved provider.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional appearance and customer service skills.
- Availability to work rotating continental shifts (days and nights).
- Must possess—or successfully complete prior to onboarding—Paladin's Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) certifications. Paladin covers certification costs with a 6-month employment commitment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or high-volume customer service.
- Post-secondary education in Law Enforcement, Criminology, Police Foundations, or a related discipline.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of the property.
- Monitor entrances, common areas, and parking facilities for safety concerns.
- Manage access control by verifying identification and monitoring visitor/vendor access.
- Monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
- Respond quickly and professionally to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents.
- Coordinate with emergency responders when necessary.
- Provide outstanding customer service by assisting tenants, employees, and visitors.
- Enforce property rules, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Complete accurate reports and incident documentation.
- Maintain a highly visible professional presence to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity.
