About The Position

Shaped by conquest, conflict, and resistance, the history of Latin America tells a story of upheaval and survival. This course examines the modern history of Latin America through key themes including colonialism, nation-building, revolution, and social transformation. It explores how these forces have shaped political institutions, reinforced and challenged social hierarchies, and influenced the formation of cultural identities across the region.
