About The Position

Clean Harbors is seeking a part-time Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Technician I in Roseville, Minnesota, to support its CleanPack and Treatment and Disposal business. The technician supports HHW and pesticide collection programs by handling hazardous materials and performing waste packaging, inspection, sampling, loading, and related site duties. Clean Harbors provides environmental, energy, and industrial services throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.

Requirements

• Attention to detail and ability to take and follow direction and perform multiple tasks.
• Ability to interface with customers.
• Ability to perform physical functions required by the job.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, as required by position.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safe work practices, policies, and processes, prioritizing health and safety.
• Package waste properly to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance.
• Keep the work area neat and orderly.
• Participate in spill response at customer sites as needed.
• Attend compliance and safety update meetings.
• Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Operate a forklift safely.
• Load and unload waste-hauling vehicles safely.
• Conduct waste-stream sampling and profiling as necessary.
• Follow applicable local, state or provincial, and federal regulations and rules.
• Operate vehicles safely in accordance with U.S. DOT and applicable local, state or provincial, and federal requirements.
• Observe corporate operating guidelines and procedures, as well as environmental health and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
