About The Position

Haven Home Care is seeking compassionate individuals to provide in-home care for elderly clients in Summit County. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, light cleaning, running errands, and providing companionship. The work is primarily focused on helping clients maintain independence and requires physical activity, including assisting clients with mobility. This position does not involve administering medication or performing medical tasks, which are reserved for nurses. Requirements

  • Driver's license
  • Own car with insurance that covers work driving
  • Pass background checks
  • Work at least 20 hours/week
  • Available between 6AM-8PM
  • Legal right to work in the US
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • STNA license (active or expired) for Option 1
  • HHA certificate (30+ hours, signed by RN or completed online) for Option 2
  • 1+ year of experience working under a licensed nurse (RN or LPN) at one company for Option 3
  • Willingness to help people for Option 4 (free training)

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily life activities such as baths and getting dressed.
  • Prepare meals for clients.
  • Perform light cleaning in clients' homes.
  • Run errands for clients.
  • Provide companionship to clients.
  • Assist clients with moving around.
  • Build real relationships with 2-4 regular clients.
  • Pick up extra fill-in shifts to increase hours.
  • Attend to clients needing help with morning baths and breakfast.
  • Commit to scheduled workdays and times.
  • Show up on time for shifts.
  • Clock in and out using the app or phone.
  • Follow call-off procedures if unable to make a shift.
  • Follow company policies.
  • Accept clients that match the limits provided by the caregiver.
  • Report incidents within 24 hours.
  • Avoid being the reason a client leaves the company.
  • Answer office calls and texts quickly.
  • Send updated documents when requested (insurance, license, training).
  • Complete feedback forms when sent.
