About The Position

Join the 2027 Summer Internship on AWG’s Health, Beauty, & Wellness and General Merchandise team. The HGS Category Sales Intern will work with the Category Sales team to learn category management at a leading grocery wholesaler and gain hands-on experience in strategic planning, execution, analysis, and recommendations concerning key business-driving activities. The intern will collaborate with the immediate team and internal and external business partners on projects shared with AWG leadership, with the goal of informing future business activities. The role provides exposure to processes and tools used to support efficient, timely, and profitable decisions that benefit AWG members.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week internship lasting 10 weeks, with overtime as needed. The internship is scheduled for May 25, 2027 through July 30, 2027. The work environment is business casual. The hourly pay is $21. Interns will present their insights to the Executive Leadership Team at the conclusion of the program, and strong performance may lead to consideration for a full-time role with AWG.

Requirements

• Study Business Analysis or a similar major.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.

• Willingness to ask questions and ability to follow up.
• Initiative, enthusiasm to learn, and ability to follow direction.
• Interest in supply chain management, logistics, and the grocery field.
• Ability to commit to a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, 10-week internship, with overtime as needed.
• Regular and reliable attendance throughout the program.

Nice To Haves

• Junior- or senior-level students are preferred.
• Recent grades are acceptable.
