About The Position

Join AWG’s 2027 Summer Internship on the Category Sales team. The intern will learn about category management at a leading grocery wholesaler and gain hands-on experience in strategic planning, execution, analysis, and making recommendations about key business-driving activities. The role works closely with the immediate team and internal and external business partners to achieve project goals shared with AWG leadership and contribute to future business activities. The intern will gain visibility into processes and tools used to support efficient, timely, and profitable decisions that benefit AWG members.

The internship runs May 25, 2027, through July 30, 2027. It is a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week for 10 weeks, with overtime possible as needed and regular, reliable attendance expected. The work environment is business casual. Compensation is $21 per hour. Interns conclude the program by presenting their insights to the Executive Leadership Team.

Requirements

• Candidates should be majoring in Business Analysis or a similar field.
• Junior- or senior-level students are preferred; recent grades are acceptable.
• Solid communication skills.
• Strong organization skills.
• Process improvement skills.
• Attention to detail, willingness to ask questions, and ability to follow up.
• Initiative, enthusiasm to learn, and ability to follow direction.
• Interest in supply chain management, logistics, and the grocery field.
• Ability to commit to a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, 10-week internship, with overtime as needed.
• Regular and reliable attendance throughout the program.
