About The Position

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking highly motivated Herbicide Applicator Technicians responsible for spraying right aways, roadsides, removing weeds, trimming, and cutting grass and brush. This is accomplished with a spray truck, an ATV, a backpack sprayer, or by dragging a hose. The role also involves completing all DOT required truck inspections, identifying and troubleshooting truck/spray system issues or needed repairs, and keeping the truck and equipment clean and organized. Individuals will receive training in calibrating spray equipment, understanding weed, grass, and brush types, and the general knowledge of methods and chemicals used, including safety requirements.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
21+ years of age or older.
A valid driver's license required.
5 years clean (MVR) motor vehicle record.
Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
Must be able to travel away from home for up to 1-2 weeks at a time.

Nice To Haves

Herbicide application experience is preferred but not required.
Commercial Pesticide Applicators preferred: Category C6, but not required for hire. This license will need to be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
Agricultural, landscaping, or related industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
