About The Position

We are looking for an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Hepatology team at Atrium Health Liver Care in Huntersville, NC. This role involves outpatient care for patients with chronic liver disease, cirrhosis, and those being evaluated for liver transplant. You will be part of a supportive, team-oriented environment within an established practice. The position offers a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm, with no nights or weekends required. The role includes 35 patient-facing hours and 0.5 administrative time per week. Requirements

  • Primary Care or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner – Master’s Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
  • License to practice as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required.
  • Physician Assistant – Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • APP who demonstrates appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
  • APP who can prioritize and make proactive decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in GI, hepatology/transplant or internal medicine.
  • Acute Care board certification preferred based upon population and acuity served.
  • Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
  • Experienced APPs with at least 1-2 years of gastroenterology, hepatology/transplant or internal medicine experience are preferred.
  • Will consider a new grad who has strong desire to work in hepatology.
