About The Position

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) in partnership with Hennessy is proud to offer the Hennessy Fellows Program. This landmark program will award high-achieving graduate students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs) with curated corporate development experiences, as well as financial assistance. Experiences include online training forums, an immersive boot camp, and networking opportunities to enhance the exchange of ideas and provide direct exposure to interrelated corporate, social, and economic systems. Selected Fellows will also receive a scholarship of up to $40,000 ($20,000 each year) and a $10,000 stipend ($5,000 each year).

Requirements

  • Students must meet all eligibility requirements described below to be considered for the program:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
  • Must be able to participate in and successfully complete all program-related activities
  • Must remain in good academic standing
  • Applied or accepted into an MBA program at one of the following priority institutions (applicants attending other TMCF Member schools may also be considered if they meet all additional criteria):
  • Clark Atlanta University
  • Howard University
  • Morgan State University
  • North Carolina A&T State University
  • Prairie View A&M University
  • Southern University

Responsibilities

  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application with the anticipation of attending a 2 year MBA program slated to start in the Fall of 2026.
  • A complete application includes the following components:
  • Current Professional Resume
  • Hirevue Assessment (email sent upon application submission)
  • Essay 500-750 words answering the question: Great leaders navigate challenges, inspire others, and drive meaningful change. Reflect on a time when you stepped into a leadership role during a difficult situation—what obstacles did you face, how did your leadership style and core values shape your approach, and how did you motivate those around you to achieve a positive outcome?
  • Hirevue Video Interview: Tell us about a time you had to influence someone without authority. How does this fellowship align with your current goals and the next phase of your career?
