We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician to support a highly stable Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fresno, California. Position Highlights $380/hour No call, nights, or weekends Any state license accepted Malpractice coverage provided 2-year contract with extension potential Credentialing assistance Contract Details Start Date: April 2026 or As Soon As Credentialed Contract Length: 2 years Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient with VA Medical Center Scope of Care Provide comprehensive hematology/oncology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of hematologic and oncologic conditions, including acute and complex cases Perform admissions, consultations, and care coordination, including treatment planning and discharge management Deliver care in acute/critical settings, including stabilization of emergent conditions and participation in rapid response/code teams as needed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including primary care and subspecialists, to ensure continuity of care and appropriate follow-up Conduct goals-of-care discussions and advance care planning with patients and families Perform minor bedside procedures within scope (e.g., line/tube management, abscess drainage) Ensure timely documentation, test result follow-up, and compliance with VA clinical protocols

Requirements

  • Active, Unrestricted Medical License (Any State)
  • 2+ Years Experience in Similar Setting
  • Active DEA
  • Board Certified/Eligible
  • BLS/ACLS

Responsibilities
