About The Position

University Medical Partners (UMP), a partner of Stanford Medicine, is seeking a full-time BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist to join our clinics in Castro Valley. This is a community-based practice focusing on general hematology/oncology. The physician will see an average of 18 patients per day in the outpatient clinic, which has fifteen (15) infusion chairs on-site. The clinic location consists of 6 providers (3 Medical Oncologists, 3 APPs, 6 Nurses) and has robust ancillary support staff, including access to on-site specialists such as Radiation Oncologists, Gyn/Onc, and UroGyn. The role includes shared call schedule (1:5) and inpatient rounds at Stanford Tri-Valley Hospital and Eden Medical Center. Hospitalists are on-site at two hospitals, and the physician will be on call for hospitalized UHA patients only, with approximately 1-4 new inpatient consults per call day on average. The practice utilizes Clinical Advice Services (CAS) for after-hours phone calls and has NP/PA support for in-basket work. The position offers a diverse patient population, exceptional mentorship, and support from the team.

Requirements

BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist
Full-time commitment (36 patient contact hours)

Responsibilities

See an average of 18 patients per day in the outpatient clinic.
Conduct inpatient rounds at Stanford Tri-Valley Hospital and Eden Medical Center.
Be on call for hospitalized UHA patients only.
Provide general hematology/oncology care.
Collaborate with a team of Medical Oncologists, APPs, and Nurses.
Utilize Clinical Advice Services (CAS) for after-hours phone calls.
