About The Position

Bassett Healthcare Network is actively recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Cancer Treat Center Service Line in Central New York. This progressive, academic health system is a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University. The Bassett Regional Cancer Program has a long-standing accreditation and is a member of the ECOG-ACRIN, participating in NCI and sponsored clinical trials. The program utilizes a collaborative and multidisciplinary model with onsite specialists and a comprehensive support team including Nurse Navigators, Social Workers, Financial Counselors, a Nutritionist, and Palliative Care Practitioners. This is an outpatient practice with no call responsibilities, offering a 4-day work week (36 clinical hours and 4 administrative hours).

Requirements

• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant.
• Oncology Experience/knowledge preferred.
• NYS Licensure.
• BLS, ACLS or PALS Certification Required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Join Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University.
• Work within the Bassett Regional Cancer Program, which has been continuously accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center since 1947.
• Participate in the ECOG-ACRIN, with close to 30 years of participation in NCI and sponsored clinical trials.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary model that includes onsite Radiation Oncologists, Surgical Oncologists, Pathologists, and Radiologists.
• Work with a comprehensive support team that includes Nurse Navigators, Social Workers, Financial Counselors, a Nutritionist, and Palliative Care Practitioners.
• Engage in an outpatient practice setting.

• Work within a multi-specialty group with a closed medical staff of over 600 practitioners.
• Adhere to a 4-day work week, with 36 clinical hours and 4 administrative hours.

• Salary Range: $104,096-140,096
