About The Position

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in Central New York, is actively recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cancer Treat Center Service Line. The Bassett Regional Cancer Program has been continuously accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center since 1947. The program is also a member of the ECOG-ACRIN with close to 30 years of participation in NCI and sponsored clinical trials. The program has a collaborative and multidisciplinary model, which includes onsite Radiation Oncologists, Surgical Oncologists, Pathologists and Radiologists. The program has a comprehensive support team that includes Nurse Navigators, Social Workers, Financial Counselors, a Nutritionist and Palliative Care Practitioners. This is an outpatient practice with no call responsibilities, offering a 4-day work week (36 hours clinically & 4 hours administrative).

Requirements

  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant.
  • Oncology Experience/knowledge preferred
  • NYS Licensure
  • BLS, ACLS or PALS Certification Required

  • Previous Oncology experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Join Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University.
  • Work within the Bassett Regional Cancer Program, a continuously accredited Comprehensive Community Cancer Center.
