Job Description: Lead Technologist - full-time, days Performs duties as a technical specialist in their areas of expertise. Precisely and accurately performs and evaluates a variety of technical procedures, acting as technical expert and resource technologist. Utilizes accepted quality control techniques with the aid of automated, semi-automated, and/or manual methodologies. Develops, revises, and implements technical procedures in area of expertise with assistance and approval of Supervisor or Manager. Oversees daily operations of the expertise area. Description: Serves as a resource for assigned areas of expertise and provides technical support to staff. Assists in researching new tests, performs instrument evaluations, writes standard operating procedures, and maintains supplies for their areas of expertise. Resolve technical problems and troubleshoots when test systems are not within established levels of performance. Oversees, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and reviews quality control for section. Maintains organized instrumentation logs to ensure accuracy of test results. Provides input into technical decisions, acts as expert for data collection and gathers monthly QC statistics for medical director/designee review. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Clinical Laboratory Science or related biological science required.
  • Registered Medical Technologist (ASCP) or equivalent certification upon hire. New graduates must become certified within 12 months from the date of hire.
  • 5+ years related work experience required.
  • Experience with computers system required, including we based applications and Microsoft Office applications, which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
