About The Position

The Hematology Laboratory Technologist works in the Hematology/Core Laboratory under the direct supervision of a supervisor. The role performs a variety of complex and routine tests in the Core Laboratory while complying with safety and regulatory requirements. The technologist rotates weekends and scheduled holidays based on departmental needs and participates in interdepartmental collaboration to support high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in science (Chemical, Physical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology) from an approved program.
• Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist by the New York State Education Department.
• At least one year of relevant clinical laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of complex and routine tests within the Core Laboratory.
