Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) is seeking a hematologist oncologist to join our growing research program within a large, community-based oncology network at our drug development unit (DDU) in Lake Nona, Florida. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a highly collaborative, academically aligned environment. This position provides a balanced mix of clinical care and research, with dedicated time to participate in clinical trials while continuing to care for patients. Lake Nona is a nationally recognized “Medical City,” home to leading healthcare institutions, cutting-edge research facilities, and UCF’s health sciences campus. The area features a modern, master-planned community with excellent dining, outdoor recreation, top-rated schools, and convenient access to Orlando International Airport, world-renowned attractions, and Florida’s beautiful beaches, making it an exceptional place to live and work. This is a research-focused role within an academic-style private practice, offering access to one of the nation’s largest clinical trial programs in partnership with Sarah Cannon Research Institute. It features a lower patient volume designed to support meaningful engagement in clinical research and innovation. The role plays a key part in advancing Phase I clinical research, including serving as a Principal Investigator, supporting study development, and collaborating closely with internal colleagues and external referring physicians. The position involves building strong relationships across the network, maintaining open communication with referring providers, hospitals, and industry partners.
