About The Position

Mid States Materials LLC. is seeking four Helpers - Carpenters for a temporary full-time position from October 1, 2026, to December 15, 2026. This role involves assisting carpenters by performing duties that require less skill, such as supplying or holding materials and tools, and cleaning the work area and equipment. Daily travel to various job sites located in Shawnee, Douglas, Jefferson, Osage, Franklin, Lyon, Wabaunsee, Geary, Riley, Pottawatomie, Jackson, Atchison, Brown, and Nemaha COUNTIES IN KS is required. The job requires the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, with some overtime and weekends required. An 8-hour workday is standard, with hours potentially varying within Monday-Friday, 7 am-6 pm. Onsite safety and MSHA training will be provided. Optional employer-owned housing is available for $140.00 per week. Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance are offered with deductions depending on the plan selected. Paid holidays are also provided. Workers are responsible for their transportation to the designated pick-up location in Lecompton, KS. Transportation to and from worksites will be provided from Lecompton, KS. No experience or education is required. The position offers 40 hours per week, with overtime pay at $29.67 per hour. Pay is bi-weekly by check, with all legally required payroll deductions taken. Merit-based raises are available at the employer's discretion. Onsite training and necessary tools, supplies, and equipment will be provided free of charge.
