About The Position

Assists workers engaged in fabrication of various products.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and speak English
• High School Education or equivalent
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Able to lift 40 pounds
• Available for short-term travel

Nice To Haves

• Ability to use Power Tools, i.e. grinder, chop saw, port-a-band saw is preferred

Responsibilities

• May be designated by trade as mechanic, painter, or other specialized trade
• Cleans and scrapes metal preparatory to fabricating, welding, painting, or shipping, using scraping tool, abrasive, or placing in solvent bath
• Assists in fitting and welding.
• Loads, stacks, and transports stock, tools, and work in process by hand or truck
• Picks up and trucks scrap from work areas
• Performs other duties as described under supervisor
• Help other craft workers
• Tends pumps, compressors, and generators to provide power for tools, machinery, and equipment, or to heat and move materials
• Loads, unloads, and identifies building materials, machinery, and tools, then distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications
• Ability to use Power Tools, i.e. grinder, chop saw, port-a-band saw is preferred
• Cleaning and upkeep of supplies of restrooms and break areas
• Requirement to follow all safety procedures and regulations
