About The Position

The Helper - Wet Machine (Stacker) plays a crucial role in the production process by ensuring the quality and efficiency of wet lap removal and stacking. This position requires adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, safety protocols, and plant policies to meet production and quality standards.

Requirements

Must be able to work rotating shifts.
Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules.
Must be able to work extended hours when required.
Experience in papermaking or manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

Removing and stacking wet laps of fiber material from the wet machine roll without damage.
Properly interleaving with press cloths when required, ensuring laps are stacked straight, square, and undamaged.
Recognizing and pulling all defects for re-use, and reporting these defects to the Machine Tender.
Assisting in set-ups, wash-ups, and minor maintenance to prevent downtime and ensure quality start-ups.
Working effectively with a partner as a team to properly remove laps from the roll.
Operating all equipment and carrying out procedures in a safe and controlled manner.
Maintaining general housekeeping of the Wet Machine area.
Performing various other duties as assigned based on allowable time and requirements.
Adhering to all company and location policies and safety rules.
Working extended hours when required.
Performing all other duties as assigned.
Adapting to potential future changes in responsibilities due to customer demands, equipment changes, and improved Standard Operating Procedures.
