About The Position

ABC Supply Interiors is a specialty distributor of drywall, ceiling tiles, steel framing, and other building materials for commercial and residential contractors. The Helper/Stocker provides delivery support to the branch by safely and accurately handling materials from the warehouse to the delivery location. Duties may include assisting with customer or jobsite deliveries, unloading and staging products, and operating a forklift.

Requirements

• Ability to unload, transport, and position building materials as required.
• Ability to follow safe and applicable methods for transporting materials from the delivery vehicle using stairways, elevators, and boom operations.
• Ability to be trained and licensed or certified by ABC Supply Interiors to operate forklift equipment.
• Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout the complete shift.
• Ability to consistently lift and carry 250 pounds with assistance.

• Knowledge of applicable building material products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow applicable safety rules and procedures.
• Distribute and place specified building materials as indicated on the order ticket.
• Examine and record materials transported to or from delivery sites.
• Verify and record the quantity and type of building materials handled.
• Ensure delivered products are neatly placed and orderly and presentable.
• Clean up and properly dispose of debris created by the delivery process before leaving the delivery site.
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently and handle heavy or awkward loads.
• Assist with material deliveries to customers or jobsites, including unloading and staging products as assigned.
