Perform manual and semi-skilled work and/or assist in a variety of skilled trades. Determine, secure, and use appropriate equipment, materials, and parts in a cost-effective manner. Perform routine duties involving the repair and maintenance of tools and equipment District-wide. Comply with applicable safety regulations and procedures. Use chemicals appropriate to assigned repair and maintenance tasks. Operate necessary equipment that, depending on the assignment, may include a box blade, bulldozer, front-end loader, jackhammer, trencher, grinder, personnel lift, scissor lift, hand tools, sander, dump truck, flatbed, bucket truck, fork lift, etc. Utilize basic District computer applications for communication, training, and record keeping. Register with the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse. Maintain driver and CDL licensure and required endorsements if applicable. Any job-related duties as assigned.
