About The Position

The Helpdesk Tier 1 provides desktop support for the Department of the Navy Office of Administration (DON OA) – Information Technology Division (ITD). This role involves delivering comprehensive desktop support services while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, particularly for high-ranking officials. The support includes servicing customers using the DUSN (M) IT Ticket system, with SECNAV assets (PC & laptops) traditionally provided by NMCI. The position requires providing immediate, onsite support and training for Executives and VIPs, and managing and maintaining an accurate inventory of non-NMCI assets, including priority, upgrades, refresh plans, and warranty services. Desktop support encompasses all peripherals such as mobile devices, laptops, CPUs, printers, digital senders, facsimile machines, and near line storage devices.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree with 3-5 years helpdesk support experience.
  • Knowledge of common software applications, such as web browsing (i.e. Microsoft Edge), email (i.e., Microsoft Outlook), word processing (i.e., Microsoft Word), spreadsheets (i.e., Microsoft Excel), presentations (i.e., Microsoft PowerPoint), databases (i.e., Microsoft Access), photo editing tools, desktop publishing software, and scanning tools.

Responsibilities
