About The Position

A Construction company in NW Portland is hiring an IT Helpdesk Technician for a 4 month contract opportunity! This role involves providing support to staff on all company-supported applications and devices, including software and hardware support for end-user devices. Key responsibilities include identifying and remediating technical issues, performing basic network troubleshooting, acting as a liaison between IT and end-users, provisioning new devices, and troubleshooting device problems. The technician will also complete IT project work, install, configure, and maintain company devices, and maintain knowledge of computer and network security systems. The role requires identifying and resolving computer system malfunctions and operational problems.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of helpdesk experience or working with a helpdesk/IT provider
  • Must have experience with Azure AD (Entra ID), Active Directory and Windows 11 experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with imaging and Windows 11 refreshes is a big plus
  • CompTIA A+ is a plus but not required
  • Previous construction experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to staff on all company-supported applications and devices
  • Software and hardware support for end user devices.
  • Identification and remediation of end user technical issues or escalation as needed.
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting.
  • Providing directions to technical resources.
  • Act as a liaison between Enterprise Technical Services and the end user.
  • Provision new devices for end users.
  • Troubleshoot device problems, determine source, and advise on appropriate action
  • Complete Information Technology project work
  • Install, configure, and maintain company devices and related hardware and software
  • Maintain knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques
  • Identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems
