About The Position

Gearbox is looking for a talented Helpdesk Technician I to join our team. This candidate will join a high performing Helpdesk team in supporting our studio. You’ll be friendly and eager to dive into any problem thrown your way. You’ll be comfortable with a wide range of hardware and software, and rarely settle for the default settings. You’ll think automation first and manual second. This individual must be self-starter and be willing to handle all manner of tasks with a positive attitude and a minimum of hand-holding. This position will require you to carry a mobile device and will occasionally require after-hours and weekend work. Full-time Onsite: This position requires working from our office 5 days a week.

Requirements

  • Outstanding customer service and interaction skills, both verbal and written
  • History of “whatever it takes”, hands-on support
  • Experience with Windows OS and applications, in a networked environment
  • Works well as part of a team in a fun, fast-paced environment
  • Able to lift 50 pounds of awesome gear

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with an issue tracking system, including reporting and metrics (Jira preferred)
  • Experience with Linux systems
  • Experience with Mac systems
  • Experience with TCP/IP networking

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and assistance related to computer systems, hardware, and software
  • Deploy PCs to employees in less than ten minutes
  • Support developer’s high-end PCs
  • Manage an inventory system to find anything, anywhere
  • Troubleshoot wired and wireless and VPN problems
  • Push the latest applications and system patches using a software deployment system
  • Support all manner of gaming systems and developer kits
