About The Position

The Gearbox Entertainment Company is looking for a talented Helpdesk Technician I to join their high-performing Helpdesk team in supporting their studio. The ideal candidate will be friendly, eager to solve problems, comfortable with a wide range of hardware and software, and prefer automation over manual processes. This individual must be a self-starter, willing to handle various tasks with a positive attitude and minimal supervision. This position requires carrying a mobile device and may occasionally involve after-hours and weekend work. This is a full-time, onsite position requiring the employee to work from the office five days a week.

Requirements

  • Outstanding customer service and interaction skills, both verbal and written
  • History of “whatever it takes”, hands-on support
  • Experience with Windows OS and applications, in a networked environment
  • Works well as part of a team in a fun, fast-paced environment
  • Able to lift 50 pounds of awesome gear

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with an issue tracking system, including reporting and metrics (Jira preferred)
  • Experience with Linux systems
  • Experience with Mac systems
  • Experience with TCP/IP networking

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and assistance related to computer systems, hardware, and software.
