About The Position
Help Me Grow Home Visitor HCBDD in Hillsboro is currently hiring a Home Visitor for the Help Me Grow home visitation program in the Highland County area. The ideal candidate will reside in Highland County. The mission of the Highland County Board of Developmental Disabilities is to ensure effective systems are available to assist people in achieving their life goals. The vision of the Highland County Board of Developmental Disabilities is to enhance the quality of life in our community - one person at a time. Responsibilities include but are not limited to home visitation, parent education of families prenatal up to age five. This position provides the opportunity to work from home or from the Highland County board office. You must be willing to visit families participating in the program in their home.
Requirements
- Eligible for credentialing under ODH rules
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience working with young children and/or families
- An associate degree may substitute for the required experience
- Pass BCI and FBI criminal background checks
- Pass a preemployment drug screen, physical and TB test
- Valid Ohio driver's license with a clean driving record and a satisfactory MVR CORSA score

- Associate or bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Early Childhood Education, Social Work, or a closely related field
Responsibilities
- Home visitation
- Parent education of families prenatal up to age five
- Visit families participating in the program in their home
- Attend all state mandated trainings and additional trainings as deemed appropriate by the Program Manager
- Maintain a caseload
- Meet mandates and timelines
