About The Position

Filterbuy, a leader in the air quality and e-commerce industry, is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Help Desk Technician to support our growing operations. This role serves as the first point of contact for technical issues across our office and fulfillment environments and is responsible for ensuring users, equipment, and systems remain operational and efficient. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, proactive, and comfortable troubleshooting a variety of hardware, software, and networking issues. To ensure success as a Help Desk Technician, you should possess strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capability to support both end users and operational technology in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, a successful Help Desk Technician helps minimize downtime, improve user productivity, and support the continued growth of our business.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 1–2 years of relevant Help Desk, IT Support, or Technical Support experience preferred.
  • Proficiency troubleshooting and supporting Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and related peripherals.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and wireless networking.
  • Familiarity with Ethernet/CAT cabling, including running, terminating, and testing network connections.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Must have excellent attendance by scheduling days off in advance and arriving to work on time.
  • Adherence to company safety standards and policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with thermal printers such as Zebra or Dymo.
  • Experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira, Zendesk, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar technical certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for technical issues and support requests.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for both Windows and macOS users.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot fulfillment equipment, including thermal label printers, scales, scanners, and related devices.
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi connectivity, and related issues.
  • Assist with network infrastructure projects, including CAT cabling, patching, cable management, and hardware mounting.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and related equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, troubleshooting activities, and issue resolutions within the company ticketing system.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on critical hardware to reduce operational disruptions.
  • Support technology needs across both office and warehouse environments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
