About The Position

OCES is growing and expanding to 11 more towns covering the south shore area. OCES supports elders and individuals with disabilities by providing vital information and coordination of services. This role provides "Help Desk" services and assists users with application-related and equipment-related problems. It is a great entry-level IT opportunity.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in computer-related discipline (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Current IT certifications (i.e., CompTIA A+, CCNA, Microsoft Fundamentals, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience in a networking environment.
  • Ability to assess issues and determine priority.
  • Ability to learn new applications quickly.
  • Ability to travel and reliable means of transportation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Citrix and Virtual Environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of database concepts and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Track help desk requests and ensure closure in a timely manner.
  • Assist with hardware installations and software implementations.
  • Collaborate with team to provide support to onsite and remote users.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
