About The Position

This position is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service to members throughout the loan process, including 1st Mortgages, Home Equity Loans, Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOC), and Home Improvement Loans. The Mortgage Loan Processor ensures loans are processed accurately and within required timelines while maintaining open communication with members and branch personnel. The role includes reviewing loan conditions (e.g., appraisal, title, flood certifications, income verification) to ensure compliance with Texans Credit Union policies and all state and federal regulations. Additionally, the employee is responsible for preparing and distributing initial disclosures within required timeframes, preparing closing documents, and coordinating loan closings.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive review and analysis of loan files, including: 1st Mortgages, Home Equity Loans, Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOC)
Prepare and distribute preliminary loan disclosures in compliance with federal guidelines
Prepare and distribute loan closing documents
Schedule and coordinate loan closing appointments
Proactively manage loan pipeline and workflow
Complete the loan funding process
Provide first-level escalation support
Perform additional duties as assigned
