About The Position

Bristow Group is seeking qualified helicopter pilots (VFR and IFR PICs, and IFR SICs) to support the offshore oil & gas industry. The role involves operating assigned aircraft safely and efficiently, maintaining situational awareness, managing passenger and aircraft movements, and ensuring compliance with all regulations and operational standards. The position is primarily based in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) offshore region but may require dispatch to other domestic and international locations.

Requirements

  • Meet minimum requirements as outlined by (14 CFR 135.243).
  • Hold a 1st class medical certificate.
  • Complete the position’s screening questionnaire.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized and able to work with a large and varied workload.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
  • Hold an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with a Helicopter Instrument rating.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 Year in the Offshore Oil and Gas environment
  • ATP
  • 1,500 hours PIC helicopter
  • 100 hours offshore
  • 100 hours within the preceding 12 months

Responsibilities

  • Operates assigned aircraft safely and efficiently, in strict compliance with Bristow operational standards and all applicable regulations.
  • Places safety and customer service at the forefront in all actions.
  • Maintains situational awareness regarding weather conditions, NOTAMs, sea state, and customer offshore facility status.
  • Manages passenger movements, aircraft movements, briefings, and baggage loading to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Completes necessary flight planning paperwork, preflight, fueling, and oversight of manifesting.
  • Maintains accurate electronic and paper records, including journey logs, personal flight and duty sheets, and aircraft technical logbook times.
  • Reports aircraft mechanical irregularities and ensures airworthiness before, during, and after all flights.
  • Facilitates communication with the customer and represents Bristow professionally.
  • Available for dispatch to other locations, including international assignments, based on business needs.
  • Stays up-to-date on all Bristow operational and safety procedures.
  • Complies with other duties and assignments as determined by the Lead Pilot / Operations Manager.
