We’re looking for a Hedge Fund Implementation Director to lead the business management function for our growing hedge fund business. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in the asset management industry, including experience with equities and derivatives.
  • Equity hedge fund experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience using investment technology systems (ex. Bloomberg, Aladdin, accounting systems, attribution systems, etc.), preferably in the capacity of a subject matter expert or system administrator.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with business partners at all levels to drive results.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently with limited direction, maintain strong attention to detail, and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively at the same time.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the trade order entry process for hedge fund and affiliated strategies, including developing and maintaining procedures to ensure that clean orders are received by the trading desk.
  • Coordinate the implementation of complex transactions across internal and external parties, including private equity transactions and complex derivatives trades.
  • Lead a team of 3 to 5 Portfolio Implementation Specialists/Portfolio Management Assistants who are responsible for creating trade orders in the order management system based on portfolio manager instructions.
  • Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture across the team. Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations and provide team with professional development opportunities.
  • Represent the investment team in cross functional change initiatives, including client onboarding/offboarding/maintenance, product implementations and system implementations.
  • Face off with key business partners (ex. Compliance, Legal, Middle Office Operations, Products, Tax, Accounting, Reporting, and Performance) on behalf of the investment team.
  • Lead or participate in ad hoc projects supporting the portfolio management and portfolio implementation processes, including projects related to process automation.
