As a member of the Fund Accounting team, the Private Credit Fund Accountant prepares accounting and reporting for Private Credit funds and some traditional hedge funds. The role includes daily, monthly, and quarterly NAV preparation; reconciliation of cash and portfolios; investment valuation; and income and expense accruals. It requires familiarity with a range of credit asset classes and with the accounting and valuation policies for illiquid and complex assets. The accountant processes interest accruals and payments, servicer-based remittances, fund expenses, and cash wire requests. The role also allocates profit and loss to investors and shareholders, calculates management and performance fees, prepares private-credit-specific financial statements, and reviews fund offering and commitment materials to understand their effects throughout the fund lifecycle. The accountant generates reports for fund managers and investors, supports board meetings, audits, financial statements, and regulatory requests, and communicates with internal and external parties to resolve fund accounting matters. The role offers hybrid work flexibility in Maine, with at least two in-office days each week. Fully remote work may be considered for residents of the listed eligible states. The position has an expected salary range of $70,000–$105,000 and is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance.
