The Heavy Vehicle Mechanic operates, repairs, maintains, and function tests heavy power construction equipment such as compressors, pumps, hoists, shovels, trucks, tractors, graders, bulldozers, front-end loaders, scrapers, motor graders, skid steers, backhoe, dump trucks and various flightline support vehicles and associated equipment. This role involves conducting Mobile Maintenance duties, replacing and repairing various vehicle components, performing heavy equipment maintenance activities including installation, repair, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance. The mechanic will also disassemble and reassemble engines and mechanical units to inspect and diagnose parts using specialized equipment, and perform operator care tasks such as washing and cleaning. Ensures proper care and maintenance of equipment and promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
