About The Position

Crete Solutions LLC is a privately owned ready-mixed concrete supplier dedicated to providing quality products and exceptional service throughout the Carolina's. As our company continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of concrete mixers, dump trucks, pneumatic tankers, and construction equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a heavy truck mechanic; experience with concrete trucks is highly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, and after-treatment systems.
  • Knowledge of ABS systems and electronic diagnostics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a Heavy Equipment Mechanic program or industry certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with Daimler, Mack, and Paccar equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on heavy trucks and construction equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, and brake inspections.
  • Inspect, repair, or replace worn and damaged components while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Diagnose and repair engine after-treatment systems and ABS systems.
  • Use company-provided diagnostic software and equipment to troubleshoot vehicle issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts usage.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues before breakdowns occur.
  • Respond to road calls and perform field repairs on disabled equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics and supervisors to complete repairs efficiently and minimize downtime.
  • Assist with plant maintenance projects when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
