About The Position

Mustang Cat is hiring an experienced Heavy Truck Driver in Southwest Houston to transport heavy and light construction rental equipment. The driver helps ensure Caterpillar and allied equipment reaches customer job sites and Mustang branches safely, efficiently, and on time. This role involves securing loads, making accurate deliveries, and meeting Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. The position supports construction, oilfield, and infrastructure projects across the region.

Requirements

• Class A CDL license.
• Clean driving record, including MVR, PSP, and FMCSA Clearinghouse checks.
• At least 1 year of experience driving commercial DOT-regulated vehicles.
• Experience hauling rental construction equipment.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and driver log procedures, including paper and electronic logs.
• Experience operating and securing heavy equipment.
• Experience with one or more of the following: flatbed truck and bumper-pull trailer, rollback truck, dovetail truck, 7-axle RGN truck and trailer, or 8-axle truck and trailer.

Responsibilities

• Transport Caterpillar and allied equipment to customers and Mustang branches.
• Load, chain, and unload various types of heavy and light construction equipment.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Keep the truck clean inside and out and complete inspection logs.
• Accurately maintain DOT driver logs and required documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups.
• Follow Mustang Cat and DOT safety policies.
