Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
5-8 years of experience in heavy-duty truck repair and diagnostics.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
Advanced understanding of diesel engines, after-treatment, and diagnostics.
OEM-level software proficiency (Caterpillar, Komatsu, Deere, Volvo, etc.).
Inspectors License.

Nice To Haves

technical school diploma in diesel mechanics or related field preferred.
CDL - A preferred.
certifications strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform complex engine, transmission, and differential repairs or replacements.
Lead advanced diagnostic work using OEM software (Cummins, Volvo, CAT, etc.).
Troubleshoot after-treatment and electrical control systems.
Oversee DOT compliance inspections and certify completed repairs.
Perform major air system, hydraulic, and electronic brake system repairs.
Conduct road tests, calibrations, and post-repair verifications.
Maintain tool inventory, parts organization, and shop cleanliness.
Train and mentor Tech I–II technicians.
Provide input on truck maintenance scheduling, reliability, and cost trends.
Support field service repairs and emergency roadside calls.
Maintain high standards of documentation accuracy in MC/E360.
Collaborate with Equipment Services & Fabrication Manager on repair cost control and downtime reduction.
