Heavy Skilled Operative Waterloo Pork Plant
About The Position
These positions operate machinery, do heavy lifting to maintain production flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Operative jobs require a higher skill level. Work includes operating saws, operate skinners and other equipment to process pork. Box handling and palletizing and operating powered industrial trucks or forklifts to move product. Work environments are wet and humid. Temperatures range from 35 to 90+ degrees. Work may include climbing ladders, working from elevated platforms, standing, bending, pushing pulling and reaching, standing and walking on hard floors and consistent lifting of 20-110 lbs. May include working in rendering where environment will be dirty.
Requirements
- Applicants must have 1 month of experience operating heavy machinery
- The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
