B Shift Heavy Skill Operator - Logansport Plant (New Hires Only) November 2026
About The Position
The Heavy Skill Operator performs advanced skilled processing tasks involving pork products and product handling in a production environment. Depending on the position, the operator safely uses forklifts and other processing or material-handling equipment, moves products and materials through the production process, and follows food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures. Examples of roles include Mule Driver, Forklift Operator, and Trayformer Operator. Work takes place in a manufacturing or processing environment that may be wet, humid, cold, hot, or otherwise variable, with temperatures ranging from approximately 35°F to over 100°F depending on the work area. The role requires the ability to meet its physical demands, with or without reasonable accommodation. This posting is for B Shift positions at the Logansport Plant and is limited to new hires.
Requirements
- Two months of work history with the same employer.
- Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on concrete or other hard surfaces.
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and repetitively use hands and arms.
- Ability to climb ladders and work from elevated platforms if required.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull materials as required, including lifting up to 150 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 140 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- Production experience in a meat processing facility is preferred.
