About The Position

Solution One is seeking a Motor Mechanic for our client site at Williamsburg, Va. The successful candidate will have outstanding skills and will be committed to working with others to deliver best-in-class, unparalleled excellence in customer service and satisfaction. This position is responsible for all repairs, preventative maintenance to include initial and final inspections of Heavy Tactical Equipment. The mechanic diagnoses malfunctions and repairs Heavy Tactical Vehicle. This mechanic prepares for storage and mobility deployment; and operates, cleans, inspects, and services towing vehicles. In addition to maintaining vehicle records, this mechanic maintains and updates paper and electronic equipment records, provides dispatch service for Heavy Tactical Equipment. Conduct thorough inspections of wheeled vehicles, including engines, transmissions, power train components, hydraulic systems, and fuel system components. Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs to keep vehicles in optimal condition. Inspect, adjust, and test parts and systems to ensure functionality. Supervise and professionally develop subordinates. Handle maintenance-related administrative tasks, including record-keeping and reporting. Plan work area layout for efficiency and safety. Ability to obtain certification to operate 4k thru 30k forklifts. Conduct on-the-job training.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to climb up the back of Heavy Tactical Equipment
  • Extremely knowledgeable in U.S. Army maintenance procedures on Heavy Tactical Equipment
  • The ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening is required
  • Ability to receive a favorable Tier-1 Investigation result and obtain, and maintain a CAC is required
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) with Air Brakes endorsement
  • Must have an active and valid Driver’s License
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma / GED
  • 4+ years’ Experience maintaining Heavy Tactical Equipment
  • CDL License Required
