Join SECURE, where we step up to make a meaningful difference in the industries we serve and the world we share. We are seeking an experienced Heavy Haul Driver to join our Rail Services team. We specialize in emergency derailment response, site remediation’s and are also responsible for day-to-day railway related projects. The Rail Services Team oversees and coordinates rail derailment emergency response and facility operations. In the event of a derailment, the team directs the deployment of response teams and equipment. They collaborate closely with external stakeholders, including emergency responders, regulatory agencies, and rail companies to ensure a unified and effective response to incidents.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years driving experience in the heavy haul industry or demonstrated competency.
  • Experience with loading, transporting and unloading heavy equipment – e.g. excavator, dozer and loader
  • Solid knowledge base with respect to Hours of Service, Load Securement and Driving Regulations.
  • Solid understanding of Canadian geography, highway systems and rules.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating heavy equipment is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all jurisdiction traffic safety legislation.
  • Safely operate a heavy haul tractor with low boy trailer, jeep and booster.
  • Abide by all Secure and customer locations safety procedures.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations at the facility.
  • Operate excavators, loaders, shears - training will be provided.
