About The Position

Diamond Infrastructure Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Heavy Equipment Work Activity Coordinator Lead in Hahnville, LA! The St. Charles Operations Central Maintenance Shop is looking for a dedicated individual to coordinate skilled trades. This role is crucial in ensuring maximum reliability and cost efficiency for our plant partners. By leveraging your expertise, you will play a vital part in maintaining the seamless operation of our facilities, ultimately contributing to the success and sustainability of our operations. You will ensure work activities are carried out safely in an effective and efficient way. Manage productivity of the team that performs the task. This role is responsible for planning, reviewing, coordinating, and authorizing safe crane and rigging activities across the site. This includes creating or reviewing 3D lift plans, ensuring lift plans meet SCO/Diamond requirements, coordinating approvals with civil engineering and operations leadership, verifying crane setup and rigging compliance, conducting pre-lift meetings, and authorizing lifts to proceed. The role also supports daily work prioritization, crane and equipment readiness, schedule coordination, documentation retention, equipment inspection planning, procedure development, employee coaching, and communication with maintenance, operations, planning, material coordination, and leadership stakeholders. This role is aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions (“Diamond Infra”) company and will be seconded from Dow to Diamond Infrastructure Solutions until January 1, 2027. At that time, the role will become directly aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions Company.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • NCCCO or NCCER certification or currently pursuing certifications
  • Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
  • Participate in maintenance staff on call.
  • Must possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as SME for crane, equipment, and rigging tasks.
  • Act as maintenance focal point for plant partners – coordinates Diamond and Contractor trades.
  • Review job packages and prepares to do the task.
  • Assist in allocation of resources for resource leveraging.
  • Initiate the work permit procedure, as necessary.
  • Report on the progress of the daily work to enable adjustments to the work schedule when needed. Review work status with service providers and originators and adjust schedule as required.
  • Reassign person scheduled to perform work to the next job, in the event the equipment is not prepared for maintenance on originally assigned job.
  • Confirm that all scheduled job sequences, work and paperwork for the job have all been completed. Close work order.
  • Perform the role of shift procedure use focal point for maintenance activity.
  • Review completed job packets and quality form; ensure non-conformances are used where required. Coach tradespersons when completed procedures/checklists/equipment repair forms are not filled out correctly.
  • Conduct field audits to ensure procedures are being used according to the local Maintenance Procedure Use Policy.
  • Deliver 100% Maintenance Compliance Task Completion and perform shop audits.
