Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A CDL within 60 days of hire.
Must obtain and maintain tanker, HAZMAT, and doubles/triples endorsements within one year of hire date.
Must have ability to obtain Crane Institute Certification (CIC).
Available to work overtime.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work in harmony with others.
Physically able to bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods of time.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Resume must be submitted, enumerating qualifications and skills.
Must pass a written test with a score of 85% or better.
Must pass a physical skills assessment.
Must pass a behavioral based interview.
Knowledge of Arizona or FMCSA Drivers Manual.
Knowledge of Blue Stake Law.
Knowledge of OSHA Standards.
Knowledge of Safety.
Knowledge of Tractor/trailer inspections.
Knowledge of Backhoe/Dump Truck Operations.
Knowledge of Marking.
Knowledge of Problem Solving.
Must have an Operating Engineer Journeyman Card, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Learn and perform required duties necessary to use all tools and equipment related to the work group.
Obtain and maintain necessary licenses to perform all duties of this classification.
Complete task sign-offs within twelve (12) months.
Familiarize with the Company's Safety Manual, Traffic Control Manual, Standards, accounting procedures, rigging procedures, heavy lifting procedures, and other applicable rules and regulations.
Successfully pass all training requirements (task sign offs).
Inspect and maintain equipment as required.
Load and secure loads on all equipment.
Operate and drive equipment up to and including vehicles with more than 44,000 lbs/GVR and powered by engines of 200 or more horsepower with a standard transmission with at least two ranges and a combination of both mechanical and air controls.
Responsible for loading and over-the road transport, including hazardous materials and flammable liquids or dry materials.
Perform pole hauling and removal.
Perform pole-hole digging.
Conduct excavation projects.
Provide crane service.
Handle coal.
Perform soil cementing.
Perform concrete finishing.
Undertake demolition projects.
Conduct over-the-road transport.
Operate bulldozer and grader service.
Perform other tasks and assignments as directed.
Perform assigned work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Company practices and procedures.
Provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and related Policies and Procedures.
