About The Position

We are seeking a motivated, results-driven Heavy Equipment Technician to play a key role in supporting the performance and reliability of our diverse heavy-duty equipment. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing mechanical repairs and installs on a variety of heavy equipment.

Requirements

3+ years’ experience as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician
Experienced with hydraulic and/or electrical work
Experience setting up and operating complex machinery
Experience using MS Office Suite
Demonstrated ability to work in a safe manner
Demonstrated team player and willing to assist others when required
Attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction
Ability to plan and execute aspects of work independently
Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract

Nice To Haves

Chassis experience considered an asset
Exposure to Street Sweepers, Vacuum Trucks or Refuse equipment is considered an asset
Commercial License considered an asset
Technical School Certificate or training preferred

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical repairs on a variety of heavy equipment
Perform hydraulic and electrical diagnostics
Conduct repairs in a timely and effective manner
Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspections
Communicate with the Branch Manager and Parts & Service Coordinator regarding job progress and job status changes
Maintain organized and safe work area, shop tools and service vans
Complete additional tasks as assigned
