As a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician, your more typical responsibilities will include: Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on equipment and established products as requested by the Service Manager and Service Writer Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments Maintains condition of shop, vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments Complete dis-assembly and inspection, as efficiently as possible, so parts may be ordered and machine work can be scheduled promptly Maintain records and account for all time, parts, and supplies used in repairing and servicing both customer and dealership equipment

Requirements

  • Experience as a mechanic diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing equipment, preferably heavy equipment, ag/turf equipment, compact construction, or related diesel equipment; experience with 2- and 4-cycle equipment will be considered for our locations with small engine shops
  • Recent and regular computer use, specifically in running codes and submitting work order information is strongly preferred
  • Basic tooling required for most shops and training in diesel technology or heavy equipment mechanics is preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Coachability and willingness to learn through continued training, such as JDU certification, capstone course, Stihl certification (where applicable), Wirtgen training, etc

Responsibilities
