Heavy Equipment Service Lube Technician
About The Position
NED, LLC., operating under the unified name NED – National Equipment Dealers, is a heavy equipment dealership specializing in equipment sales, rentals, and customer support. The Heavy Equipment Service Lube Technician services off-road heavy construction equipment, including excavators, material handlers, wheel loaders, and other off-highway trucks and equipment. The company represents brands including Hyundai, Bell Off-Road Trucks, Manitou, Sakai, and Dynapac. The position is full time, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pay is $20 to $35 per hour. The role includes diagnostics, testing, equipment start-ups, inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance, as well as maintaining detailed service and time records and documenting repair work with photos and videos. Employment offers are conditioned on successfully completing a drug screen, MVR, and background check.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in heavy equipment.
- Proficiency in diagnostics and manufacturer diagnostic software.
- Proficiency in hydraulics and hydraulic repair.
- Proficiency in electrical systems.
- Proficiency in pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in diesel engines.
- Successful completion of a drug screen, MVR, and background check as a condition of an employment offer.

- Cummins certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, test, and perform start-ups on off-road heavy construction equipment.
- Inspect low- to high-voltage electrical systems and perform moderately complex relay calibration and power metering.
- Diagnose fault codes and perform necessary repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance on diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
- Keep detailed records of work performed for asset management and the work order system.
- Record and track time worked.
- Take photos and videos of the repair process to accompany detailed work logs.
