About The Position

Tank's Recycling and Landfill is hiring a full-time, onsite Heavy Equipment Operator in Tucson, Arizona. The operator will support landfill and recycling operations by safely operating front-end loaders, skid steers, and excavators. Duties include moving and placing materials, managing stockpiles, maintaining the site, supporting efficient traffic flow, and inspecting equipment daily. The role involves working outdoors year-round, collaborating with scale house attendants, mechanics, and site managers, and traveling between landfill locations as needed. Hourly pay will be determined at hiring based on expertise and dedication. Applicants must be drug-free and submit to a background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience operating loaders, skid steers, and excavators.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Commitment to safety and teamwork.
Reliability and punctuality.
Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions year-round.
Valid driver's license.
Must be drug-free and submit to a background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Landfill or construction experience.
Heavy equipment certification from CAT, John Deere, or a trade school.

Responsibilities
