About The Position

Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join their expanding team in heavy highway construction. The role is based in Abilene, TX, with a project start date in April 2026. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about building infrastructure and experienced in operating heavy machinery.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating construction equipment or other related industrial experience is preferred.
• Experience in a labor-intensive position.
• Ability to work independently in a team and safety-focused environment.
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to work in all outdoor elements for extended periods of time.
• Capable of working extended hours and variable shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical inclination is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, motor graders, backhoes, GOMACO paving spreaders, and compactors safely and efficiently.
• Perform equipment inspections.
• May be required to perform daily maintenance of equipment, such as greasing and lubing.
