About The Position

Veteran Hiring Solutions is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for an established commercial general contractor in the Atlanta market. This client is a self-perform builder with a developed operator training program and a career ladder, offering long-term employment opportunities. The role is designed for individuals with some experience around equipment, potentially from military, farming, or driving backgrounds, or those with mechanical experience who haven't yet operated heavy machinery. The company emphasizes providing a chance to learn and progress through a structured operator development program, starting with foundational equipment and moving up to more complex machinery like rollers, skid steers, dump trucks, backhoes, excavators, dozers, and motor graders. The program allows individuals to climb the career ladder at their own pace, with foreman trainers assigned to guide their development.
