The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment to support site preparation, grading, and other related earth moving activities. This position ensures safe, efficient, and precise operation of equipment to meet project specifications and deadlines.

Ability to travel out of town to job sites in areas surrounding Gillette.
Valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of heavy equipment operating experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience operating dozers and/or blades.
MSHA, CPR-First Aid, OSHA 10, PEC Veriforce Basic and H2S a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment including but not limited to scrapers, dozers, loaders, motor graders, backhoes, articulated trucks, and water trucks.
Perform earthmoving, grading, excavation, and site preparation tasks for oilfield and construction projects.
Follow directions from supervisors to complete tasks.
Conduct pre-operation inspections and perform basic maintenance on assigned equipment.
Ensure safe operation of equipment, adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
Report any equipment malfunctions or hazards to supervisors immediately.
Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Assist with other related tasks as assigned.
