About The Position

Requirements

Understand occupational hazards and safety precautions involved in operating equipment.
Know laws and ordinances regulating vehicle operation.
Know traffic and highway safety rules and regulations, including precautionary measures to avoid accidents.
Have knowledge and skill in operating medium construction equipment.
Be able to determine how systems should work and how changes in conditions, operations, or the environment may affect outcomes.
Be able to make minor repairs and adjustments and service automotive equipment.
Have sufficient physical strength to perform heavy labor.
Pass a thorough criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Operate a utility trailer transport.
Occasionally operate smaller equipment, including shredders and slope mowers.
Operate equipment such as dozers, front-end loaders, motor graders, maintainers, bucket trucks, backhoes, low-boys, flatbeds, pavers, rollers, forklifts, vector trucks, and vacuum and mechanical street sweepers.
Perform minor equipment repairs and adjustments and service automotive equipment.
Perform heavy labor as needed.
Carry out other related duties as assigned.
